‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ trailer playing in 30 theaters Friday
LOS ANGELES — The Force is coming to theaters on Friday.
Lucasfilm and Disney will premiere the first trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at 30 venues run Regal, AMC and Cinemark, rolling out an 88-second tease of the J.J. Abrams-helmed “Star Wars” in front of every movie playing at the locations over the holiday weekend.
The trailer launch will take place a day after Universal releases the first trailer for “Jurassic World” on Thursday, during Thanksgiving football on NBC.
The locations set to screen the “Star Wars” trailer are:

Regal Entertainment Group, the largest operator of movie theaters in the U.S., jumped the gun on the announcement, which initially made it seem as though the chain had exclusive rights for the trailer in nine of its locations, prompting the official announcement on StarWars.com.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be released Dec. 18, 2015.
