Art-N-Ink Tattoo Festival to visit South Point This Weekend

The Art-N-Ink Festival of Las Vegas, featuring hand-picked tattoo artists from throughout the United States, will take place Friday and Saturday at the South Point Events Center, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

The event, sponsored by On the Edge Promotions and KXTE-FM 107.5, will be open from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Organizers hope to attract as many as 8,000 visitors to the show.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-17 and free for children 5 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the South Point box office or by calling 797-8055.

The Art-N-Ink Festival includes artists showcasing a wide variety of original work. Members of the public can purchase tattoos or buy the artwork on canvas and T-shirts.

Organizers say their goal is to create a gathering place for tattoo artists to display artwork and exchange ideas, methods and techniques.

The artists also will compete against each other in a variety of categories during the weekend event.
