A-List celebs hit the Strip for 4th of July
I’m assuming you read Howard Stutz’s column in the Review-Journal, where he said the 11-month-old SLS hotel posted a $35.3 million net loss in 2015’s first quarter, signaling a long road ahead for the bold but not optimally located hotel.
So with that information in your head, consider the hotel is still spending big money on A-list talent to perform in hotel-operated nightclubs.
For the Fourth of July, the oddly named Life club staged a show by rap royal Lil Wayne. DMX was there. Lamar Odom was there. The place was packed. But it should be noted the SLS hotel doesn’t have A-list names on the calendar for the next several weeks.
So it was the busy Fourth weekend that convinced hotels and clubs to pony up large bills to write large names on their marquees. Paris Hilton DJ’d at Tao Beach in the Venetian. And DJ Khaled played Tao nightclub.
If you have a guess as to how much each performer banked for their gigs, let us know in the comments section online.
