Carino’s adds a few surprises to its Italian menu

Carino’s Italian Grill, which opened almost a year ago at 7050 N. Durango Drive, adds another name to the valley’s casual, moderately priced Italian restaurants, but a few of its items set it apart: lasagna, meatballs and tiramisu made daily in-house.

Mess Up? No Problem

You’ve labored in the kitchen all day. You have special guests coming to dinner — family, friends, maybe even the boss — and you want everything to be perfect. But then you taste the gravy, and — bleeech.

Bollywood Grill, 6840 W. Sahara Ave., received 20 demerits Nov. 20. Violations included rice stored at room temperature. GRADE: B
