Which Las Vegas act will you send to Life is Beautiful?

Hello, mate! How’s life treating you? What’s that you say? Life is beautiful? Indeed, life is beautiful!

Hey, listen, speaking of life and beautiful and all that: How would you like to help make the life of a local band a little more, ahem, beautiful?

Uh-huh. Thought so. And isn’t that just like you? Always down to lend a helping hand. You’re a little slice of heaven, you know that? Ah, yes, but we digress.

So, yeah, anyhow, here’s how you can help. It’s incredibly simple, just three clicks of the mouse from here: DTLV is hosting this swell contest, a poll, if you will, in which you can help determine which local artist earns a slot at this fall’s Life Is Beautiful festival. Pretty sweet deal, yeah?

But you’ve got to act quickly. The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday. Also worth mentioning: You can vote for two bands — you know, just in case you can’t decide. Full disclosure: The results will reportedly not be the only deciding factor, but will be considered in tandem with assessments from this past weekend’s performances at Music Is Beautiful. The winner, which will be announced Wednesday, will earn that enviable slot at Life Is Beautiful.

So far but The Perks look to be running away with this thing, garnering 31 percent of the votes. It’s not over yet, though. There’s a number of strong contenders and the day, as they say, is still young.
