Wax museum pays tribute to Hispanic celebrities
Wax figurines of prominent Hispanic celebrities are on display in a Hispanic Heritage Month exhibit at Madame Tussauds Interactive Wax Attraction.
The exhibit, which continues through Oct. 15 in the wax museum's Spirit of America room in The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South, celebrates the culture and heritage of U.S. citizens hailing from Spanish-speaking nations. Among the figurines are Selma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan and Shakira. There also are video and biographical presentations of prominent Hispanic leaders.
The museum features more than 100 celebrities in nine themed rooms where guests are invited to "get up close and personal" with the wax figurines for pictures and an interactive experience.
The exhibit includes a display showing how the figurines are made.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. General admission is $24; $18 for seniors; $17 for students and local residents; $14 for ages 7-12; and free for children 6 and younger.
