Was Paul Rudd one of the bystanders who took down the airport ranter?
Is that you, Paul Rudd?
A video of good Samaritans appearing to subdue a man on a violent, homophobic and racist rant at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport surfaced on Saturday, with one of those good Samaritans possibly being actor Paul Rudd.
The video has been viewed over two million times since its posting on Raw Story. It shows a man harassing another man wearing a pink shirt, and using slurs against him.
He appears to kick another man before being tackled by a group of bystanders.
At 1:30 into the video, a man looking a lot like Paul Rudd appears from the commotion.
Wonkette (warning: graphic language) reported the full social media investigation suggesting that the man really is Paul Rudd.
A woman claiming to have seen Rudd at the airport moments before tweeted confirmation of his outfit.
The question of whether or not that is the actor has led to a Twitter firestorm with hashtags #RuddTruther and #PaulRuddSavesLives hitting the trending section.
There’s still debate online as to why Rudd would take a flight requiring a layover, but others argue that his modesty, in this case, just adds to his charm.
Now, all the world needs (or, what the Internet needs) is for the hero to claim responsibility.
