Terrible’s has daily swipe promotion; ‘Canniversary’ kicks off Sunday

Terrible's players can swipe their cards daily in August for prizes including a cruise, $500, free slot play and more. Earn 250 points ($250 coin-in) for a second swipe and another 250 points for a third swipe. The casino also has drawings at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. every Monday and Saturday for a chance to win up to $10,000; players receive one entry for every 250 earned.

"Canniversary," the Eastside Cannery's monthlong two-year anniversary celebration, begins Sunday with free cupcakes and champagne in Marilyn's Lounge from noon-5 p.m. Throughout the month, the casino will have various giveaways and gaming promotions, including an Aug. 27 event starring Rich Little. On Saturday, the casino will give away a glove box organizer with $10-$500 free play to all players earning 300 same-day base points ($300 coin-in slots, $600 coin-in video poker; no point redemption required).

PT's and Sierra Gold taverns are running a $30,000 Citywide Video Poker Tournament through Sept. 15. Tavern level competitions take place Aug. 9-Sept. 1 (check at the bar for specific times) followed by a finals tournament on Sept. 15. There is no entrance fee, but you must earn at least 100 Golden Reward points at a tavern from Sunday through Aug. 8 to qualify. Players can earn multiple entries at multiple taverns. Each tavern will award the top three places a total of $500 in prizes, and the first place finals finisher wins $10,000.

Palms players earning 25 same-day base points ($25 coin-in) on Wednesdays in August can swipe their cards to win 7-Eleven gasoline cards, free slot play, food vouchers or a chance to spin the "Big Wheel" to win even more cash and prizes. Some video poker machines may be excluded from this promotion.

On Thursdays in August, Rampart players earning a certain level of points can swipe their cards and win additional free play. Those earning 250 points ($500 coin-in slots, $1,000 coin-in video poker; no point redemption required) will get $5-$15 in free slot play. Players earning 500 points receive $20-$30 in free slot play, while those earning 1,200 points receive $40-$100 in free slot play. There is a limit of one swipe per player per day.

You can try to crack the code every Friday and Saturday in August at either the Plaza or the Vegas Club and win $1,000 in cash. For every 500 points ($500 coin-in) earned, players get to type in a three-digit combination, and if the safe opens, they win $1,000 cash.
