Stratosphere, Jerry’s Nugget have special Kentucky Derby offers

The Run for the Roses is Saturday, and here are two Kentucky Derby promotions worth checking out.

Over at the Stratosphere, high-end bettors willing to wager $100 on each of the 10 races throughout the day will keep everything they win, plus the top three winners will receive an additional $3,000-$12,000 bonus. Complimentary food and drinks are included. This contest is limited to the first 200 sign-ups, so contact the casino for more info.

The betting windows at Jerry's Nugget open Saturday at 6:30 a.m. with complimentary donuts and coffee at 10 a.m. Players making a $10 Kentucky Derby bet receive commemorative glass, and those making a $25 bet on the casino's exclusive Horse Racing Matchup Parlay Card will receive a red logo shirt. Limit two glasses and shirts per customer.

The Tuscany is offering three drawings every Thursday in May. There will be 15 winners every night, and a grand total of $25,000 will be given away by the end of the month. Players can earn tickets playing slots, table games and live poker.

Also on Thursdays, South Point will give away $500 in free play every 30 minutes, 1-10 p.m., to a randomly selected player using his Club card.

Rampart players earning 250 same-day points ($500 coin-in on slots, $1,000 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) or one hour of table play with a $25 average bet on any Friday or Saturday in May will receive a collectible, a polo shirt or $10 free play. Those earning 600 points (or three hours of table play at $25) receive a collectible with $5-$1,000 in cash or $15 in free play, and anyone earning 1,200 points (or three hours of table play with a $40 average bet) receives a Swiss Army zip portfolio, or $25 free play. The casino is also offering drawings for $10,000 at 7 p.m. every Saturday. Entries can be earned playing the machines or at the tables, with double entries Monday through Thursdays.
