Born in the Cincinnati area and grew up in southeastern Indiana. … First performing experience: singing with her dad (who accompanied on guitar) at age 4. … Took dance lessons for a year as a kid (liked it, but had to give it up because of family time constraints). … Pursued singing (choir, show choir and glee club) and cheerleading instead. … First paid performance: winning $50 singing at a talent show in sixth grade. … Attended the University of Cincinnati and, later, UNLV. … Was a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader/dancer for four years. … Moved to Las Vegas in 2008 at the urging of a friend. … Landed a few cocktail-serving jobs, ultimately bartending at the Silverton. … Accompanied a nervous friend to a “Crazy Girls” audition, gave it a shot herself and got the gig. … Will celebrate her fourth anniversary with “Crazy Girls” in March. … Housemate for the past year: Pippin, a Chihuahua/Pomeranian/dachshund mix.
On feeling at home onstage:
“I mean, I have stage fright at times. There are moments when there’s something new and … you’re not absolutely sure, and you’re afraid you might forget a motion or a word. But, sure, everybody gets nervous, because you know everyone’s sitting there watching you and they’ve come here to be entertained. … But most of the time up there, I’m not nervous. They say, ‘Picture everybody in their underwear.’ Well, I’m already in mine (laughs).”
