QUICK TAKES
Knight may leave
According to an insider, T.R. Knight, who plays Dr. George O' Malley on "Grey's Anatomy," has asked to leave the show. Knight, rumored to be unhappy with his story line, has three years left on his contract. According to the insider, who could not be identified because that person was not authorized to discuss negotiation details, ABC has indicated he will be released. An ABC representative had no comment.
Bring it on
CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves is pretty confident the shows his network airs at 10 p.m. will trounce Jay Leno when he moves his NBC show to a 10 p.m. slot next fall. "I will bet anybody who would like to bet that 'CSI: Miami' on Monday night at 10 o'clock will beat Jay by a lot. Remember that. By a lot," Moonves said Wednesday at an investor conference hosted by UBS. Leno said Tuesday he didn't expect his show to beat any 10 p.m. shows in the beginning.
DMX arrested
Rapper DMX was arrested -- again. This time, the 37-year-old was nabbed by federal authorities in Miami on Tuesday afternoon on a warrant issued by a Phoenix judge after he wasn't in court Friday. DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession, identity theft and animal cruelty in Arizona. He will be returned to Phoenix.
'Spiritual moment'
Photos of Ricky Martin's twin sons, Valentino and Matteo, will appear in an upcoming issue of People magazine. The children were born to a surrogate mother on Aug. 20. Says Martin: "I'm so happy! Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing. Being a father feels amazing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life." The Latin superstar said surrogacy "was an intriguing and faster option" than adoption.
Tumor removed
The reason Toni Braxton wasn't dancing on the finale of "Dancing with the Stars" was a pretty good one. The singer says she had a benign tumor removed from her breast the week before. Braxton, who said she knew about the tumor before she appeared on the show, told Us Weekly magazine that "getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me." Braxton is scheduled to appear on the "Dancing With the Stars" tour, which will stop at The Orleans Arena on Dec. 29.
She's got the power
"I didn't know how much power Britney had. That really scared me." -- Kevin Federline, on his custody battle with ex-wife Britney Spears.
