Garrison participated in a substance abuse program while in prison and is eligible for a similar program after his release, Bartelmie said. He was charged after a December 2006 crash where he hit a tree with his Land Rover, killing Vahagn Setian, 17, and injuring two teenage girls. He pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and misdemeanor counts of drunken driving and giving alcohol to minors.
