Lewis punched

Singer Leona Lewis was signing autographs and posing for photographs at a book signing in London on Wednesday when, according to her spokesman, a young man punched her in the head. According to Stuart Bell, Lewis was meeting fans at Waterstone's book store in Piccadilly for about 90 minutes when a man from the line hit her. The man was led away by security and later arrested. Bell said Lewis went to see a doctor as a precaution. A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and is in custody, said London's Metropolitan police.

Image replaced

A nude image of 10-year-old Brooke Shields has been replaced at Britain's Tate Modern museum. The museum closed a room housing the "Spiritual American 1983" photograph after a visit two weeks ago by a London police unit that deals with obscenity. The museum released a statement Wednesday that the piece was replaced with a later version of the work by Richard Prince called "Spiritual America IV 2005." That photo features the actress in a bikini taken in 2005.

Patinkin to guest star

Former "Criminal Minds" and "Chicago Hope" star Mandy Patinkin will return to CBS to appear on the new drama "Three Rivers." He will play an aspiring organ donor. The story is personal for Patinkin, as he received corneal implants donated by the families of a 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy to correct a disease that impairs vision. "Three Rivers" airs on Sundays and explores the lives of organ donors, recipients and surgeons.

She's all woman

"She is a stunning example of the cartoon form." -- Playboy magazine editorial director James Jellinek on Marge Simpson, who will be appearing on the cover of the November issue.
