'Beauty and the Beast' starts Wednesday

Super Summer Theatre kicks off its season Wednesday with "Beauty and the Beast" at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.

Based on the Disney movie, the musical follows the beautiful Belle as she helps transform a horrible beast into a handsome prince.

A preview performance is scheduled for Wednesday night, with regular performances beginning Thursday. The show will be performed Wednesdays through Saturdays through June 21.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with performances beginning at 8 p.m.
