Obama’s ‘Immortal’ interview with ‘Hangover’ Zach

So President Obama gave this interview to Zach Galifianakis, who most of you know as the dirty bearded character from the “Hangover” movies.

But Zach, an alt comedian also known for his Fiona Apple music video past, has been doing these fern interviews for years. This one is like the others in tone. Silly fun.

I guess you could say Obama, in character as “President Obama” in this tongue-in-cheek promotion for Obamacare, holds his own, and gives as good as he gets, et cetera, in this bit for FunnyOrDie.com, which has accumulated so many views it is already tagged “Immortal” by the site’s rules.

Officially speaking as a critic, I would say this is decently/slightly entertaining. My favorite part is the “(sp)” spelling note on Obama’s name, because that is a good writer’s joke.

Some people in the clubby White House press corps are upset anyone other than them are talking to the president, as if they alone own the First Amendment.

But really, this is just a silly little distraction from our crazy world, just like when President Reagan starred in “Bedtime for Bonzo” retroactive to sleeping in the White House.
