Musician’s teen son dies after falling off cliff in England

LOS ANGELES — Australian musician and songwriter Nick Cave‘s 15-year-old son Arthur Cave died Tuesday evening after falling off a cliff in Brighton, England.

The boy was found about 60 feet below the top of the cliffs with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, BBC reported. He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, but died later from his injuries.

"Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening," said Cave and wife Susie in a statement. "He was our beautiful, happy loving boy."

Nick Cave is best known for his band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Arthur was featured in "20,000 Days on Earth," a documentary about Cave‘s life. The film premiered at Sundance in 2014.
