Museum observes Liberace’s birthday

The Liberace Foundation and Museum, 1775 E. Tropicana Ave., concludes its weeklong celebration of the late pianist's birthday Sunday with a variety of festivities.

Events begin at noon with the presentation of a birthday cake and a "Happy Birthday" performance by Lorraine Hunt-Bono, Dennis Bono and Domenick Allen. Retro Bakery will provide cupcakes for guests in attendance.

There will be a performance at 2:30 p.m. by Ali Spuck in the museum's Cabaret Showroom. Tickets are $10. The main performance of the day, featuring Christopher Joel Carter IV and special guests Phyllis Bell, Domenick Allen, Leigh Zimmerman and Cayleigh Capaldi, will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the showroom. The $25 admission includes champagne and hors d'oeuvres.
