You're never too young to learn philanthropy, and that's why www.children
donate2.org can be a useful site. Featuring charities that benefit animals and children in need, the site is a portal to many charities that children might be interested in helping. For those with no money to give, there's also a link to "one-click" charities, where children make a difference by clicking their mouse instead of monetary donations.
Cake is good, but cake is better with something in it. At bakeitinacake.com, there are dozens of recipes that involve, well, baking something in a cake. Whether it's cupcakes with candy bars tucked inside or cannolis baked into a chocolate loaf cake, there's something to please every palate.
If you like to tinker, you'll love makezine.com. The site features things others have built, links to contests to show your creations and projects for kids or for the whole family to try.
