Mexican Independence Day celebrations

Mexican Independence Day will be celebrated Saturday in Las Vegas with family-oriented events promising fun and good food.

Fiesta Las Vegas begins with a parade at 10 a.m. that moves along Fourth Street from Gass to Stewart avenues. Mexican singer Graciela Beltran will be the parade grand marshal. A festival will follow at the Fremont Street Experience from 12:30 to 10 p.m., featuring food, entertainment, and family and cultural activities. More information is available at fiestalasvegas.org.

The Mexican Patriotic Committee will host its 32nd annual Fiestas Patrias, beginning at 3 p.m. in the southwest parking lot of Boulevard Mall, 3680 S. Maryland Parkway.
