Living Room Lounge offers something for everyone in relaxed atmosphere

Sometimes, you feel like clubbing.

And sometimes, you feel like dancing and having a few drinks but without battling the usual club crowds or long lines.

That's the sort of experience guests will have at the Living Room Lounge inside Planet Hollywood Resort, says Greg Jarmolowich, managing director.

Whether people are out shopping in the adjoining Miracle Mile Shops or looking for something to do after dinner or a show, the Living Room provides some of the high points of a club with the features of a lounge, Jarmolowich says.

There's a dance floor in this 2,800-square-foot lounge surrounded by a warm, comfortable room with a fireplace for ambiance. The room is red with chocolate crocodile couches and features custom-designed tables, one bar and a DJ booth.

Resident DJs Tina T, DJ Franzen and RPS switch off music duties, playing a mixed format of Top 40, hip-hop and R&B.

"It's really for everyone, that's what our club is about," Jarmolowich says. "We have a different dress code than other clubs, too. We allow T-shirts and tennis shoes, as long as it's fashionable."

You can't wear Christian Audigier or Ed Hardy; management does not think those brands are fashionable, Jarmolowich says.

The club is open from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays, functioning as a house room for Privé on other nights. The Living Room has a cross promotion with "Peepshow" on Thursdays, with cast members coming over to do small vignettes of the show, Jarmolowich says.

Bottle service starts at $400 per bottle; the average price of a well drink is about $10. Locals get in for free with Nevada identification; cover charge is $20 for all others.
