LaRosa to sing in CSN benefit

The College of Southern Nevada Joe Williams Music Scholarship Fundraiser Concert will be 2 p.m. April 26 at South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Singer Julius LaRosa and the pop-opera quartet Voci Vegas will perform. Comedian Pete Barbutti will make a special appearance, and the CSN Jazz Singers and many Joe Williams Scholarship recipients also will take the stage.

The 17-piece CSN All-Star Jazz Band will provide music. Comedian Cork Proctor will be the host.

The annual concert raises money for the Joe Williams Music Scholarship Fund, which assists music students at the College of Southern Nevada. Since the fund's inception in 1989, the concert has raised more than $135,000 and provided tuition assistance for more than 400 CSN students.
