Lake Las Vegas hosts run/walk and health fair

The Women's Spirit Celebration and Family Health Fair will run from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas, 30 Strada di Villaggio, Henderson.

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals and Sunset Racing will present a variety of activities, including a women's 5K run/walk and live entertainment.

More than 30 health-related vendors will set up on site to provide information beginning at 9 a.m.

Trail 2 River Tours will host kayak tours once an hour from 9 to 11 a.m.

The women's 5K run/walk is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Registration, which costs $15 per adult and $12 for children ages 17 and younger, closes today at www.active.com by using the keywords Lake Las Vegas Women's 5K and Family Health Fair. Sunset Racing will donate $3 per entry for the first 300 people that register for the 5K to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals will offer laboratory testing. Fasting is needed for lipid panels.
