Janet Jackson to play Las Vegas in October

Janet Jackson fans: Now would be a really good time to whip out your calendar and prepare to enter a new date to remember — or dates, as the case may be.

You may remember, on May 15, the eve of her 49th birthday, Janet shared a video on Twitter revealing her plans to release a new record and launch a supporting tour. The news sent the singer’s fans straight into Smileyville with a brief stop in Hysteria. Or wait, maybe that was that just us? Naw, we just checked. Even famous fans like Kathy Ireland and Raven-Symone were stoked.

Well, here we are exactly a month later with an announcement of the Las Vegas dates on her “Unbreakable Tour” — Oct. 9 and 10.

Tickets for the two shows, slated for the Axis at Planet Hollywood, go on sale June 22 at 10 a.m. If you’re an American Express card member, however, today is your lucky day, as you can get the jump on everybody else by picking up your tickets this morning starting at 10 a.m. PDT.
