‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 IMAX sneak peek released

LOS ANGELES — “Game of Thrones” released a trailer for its upcoming Imax run, including a (very) brief sneak peek at new footage from the fifth season, featuring Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister after his clandestine escape from King’s Landing in last year’s finale.

An exclusive preview of the upcoming season will accompany the Imax screenings of the HBO drama, which will show the final two episodes of the fourth season and will run from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5. The premium cabler also teased five seconds of footage from the new season in its 2014 “Yearender” video.

“Game of Thrones” season five premieres Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
