Floyd Lamb Park hosts production of ‘Twain’s Nevada’
The legendary wit of Mark Twain comes to life through music and theater in "Mark Twain's Nevada," to be presented Saturday at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road.
The 50-minute play, appropriate for all ages, will be performed at 10 a.m. and noon.
This lively original musical, presented by the Rainbow Company Youth Theatre, is designed as an entertaining Nevada history lesson.
Admission is $6 per vehicle at the park entrance. Call 229-6553 for information in advance, or 229-8100 on the day of the event.
Viewers can bring blankets or folding chairs, but pets and glass containers are not permitted.
Rainbow Company Artistic Director Karen McKenney is the playwright, choreographer and director of a cast of five adults, most of whom play several parts. Michael Button stars at Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). He is joined onstage by Michael Connolly, J. Neal, Ellis Rice and Martha Watson. Neal also is the composer and musical director.
