Events to honor life of Martin Luther King
A gospel concert and parade will celebrate the memory of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Las Vegas Mass Choir will perform traditional and urban contemporary gospel during the Living the Dream Gospel Music Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the West Las Vegas Library Theatre, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
Admission is free, but seating is limited.

And the Martin Luther King Day parade is scheduled for Monday in downtown Las Vegas.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and will follow Fourth Street to Ogden Avenue and head west on Ogden to Third Street before ending at Fourth Street and Stewart Avenue.
The theme of the parade is "Living the Dream: Dream -- Setting New Heights in Our Community."

'Water Hen' opens tonight at Onyx
To celebrate the opening night of its production of "The Water Hen," Insurgo Theater Movement is having a champagne gala at 8 p.m. today.
The rarely performed play, by Stanislaus Witkiewicz, is directed by Insurgo artistic director John Beane.
Performances are at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Thursday, with additional performances through Feb. 9 at the Onyx Theatre, 953 E. Sahara Ave.
Tickets are $15.
