Henderson's ArtFest set for this weekend

The 11th annual ArtFest of Henderson is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Water Street District in downtown Henderson.

More than 200 artists from across the country will display and sell artwork including paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and more.

The festival also will feature live jazz, a food court, and a children's area.

Admission is free.

Hawaiian Tropic model search concludes

The 25th annual Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Finals is scheduled for this weekend in downtown Las Vegas.

The preliminary swimsuit contest will take place at 6 p.m. today at The Tank at the Golden Nugget, 129 Fremont St.

The finals will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday with a performance by Everclear at the Fremont Street Experience's First Street Stage.
