Maybe if Santa ran more than once a year, he'd be in better shape. (We're just saying.)
For the fourth straight year, Las Vegas will attempt the largest gathering of Santas in one place. (The Guinness Book officially recognizes last year's tally of 7,269 as its world record.) Participants, who choose between a 5K run or a one-mile stroll, receive a five-piece costume. Gather at 10 a.m. Saturday with Siegfried & Roy at the Fremont Street Experience, 425 Fremont St. Registration is $35 prior to the race, $45 on race day. For more information, call 259-3741.
A HAWAIIAN CHRISTMAS

CINDERELLA
Break out your glass slippers. The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre presents "Cinderella" as envisioned by 40 children, ages 10 to 18. Don't worry, you'll be home by midnight. INTERNATIONAL GEM AND JEWELRY SHOW
If beads and minerals are your idea of a good time, then you've already been counting the days. Even if they're not, this is the perfect opportunity to lay cheap bling on your loved one while pretending to have spent big. More than 50 retailers and wholesalers will be on hand, along with free beading classes. For the final fight of his Hall of Fame career, Oscar De La Hoya has decided to challenge Manny Pacquiao. Considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Pacquiao is on an eight-fight winning streak. And his nickname is "The Mexicutioner." Whatever happened to going out on top?
