DON’T MISS IT

JENNIFER HUDSON

The "Dreamgirls" Oscar winner and 2004 "American Idol" contestant appears with Robin Thicke at 8 p.m. today in The Pearl at the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road. It's her first Vegas concert since the murder of her mother, brother and nephew last year. Tickets are $55-$85; call 942-7777.

LAS VEGAS TENORS

Bill Fayne, Bobby Black and Teddy Davey bring a modern, Josh Groban-y feel to opera, despite a name that suggests they party like it's 1951. See them at 7:30 p.m. today through Sunday in the Showroom at the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive. Tickets are $22-$44; call 636-7075.

MICHAEL WINSLOW

His sound effects were the only funny things about "Police Academy" sequels 2-6. Now this '80s Trivial Pursuit answer headlines Bonkerz at Palace Station, 2411 W. Sahara Ave., at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. today and Saturday. Audience laughter is guaranteed, since Winslow can probably fake it with his mouth. Tickets are $34, locals receive a $10 discount with valid ID; call 547-5300.

RUSTED ROOT

Rusted Root -- the jam band that hates being called a jam band -- brings its percussive bluegrass to the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road. The concert starts at 9 p.m. today, but allow extra time for the frisking of stoner fans by security. Tickets are $35; call 693-5066.

L.A. GUNS

Tracii Guns is distinguished as the first in a long line of Guns N' Roses members fired by dictator Axl Rose. Unfortunately for the lead guitarist, it happened long before GNR made any money. Give him $15 now for playing Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road, with his band at 10 p.m. today; call 693-5066.
