Discounts, events mark Rediscover Downtown Day

More than 40 businesses and venues will offer discounts and special events for locals on Saturday as part of Rediscover Downtown Day.

The American Heart Association's Rediscover Downtown Heart Walk and a free Bret Michaels concert bookend the day at the Fremont Street Experience.

Locals will receive one free admission with another paid admission to the Mob Museum, the Lied Discovery Children's Museum or the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.

Rick's Restorations is giving away hot dogs; Bar + Bistro is offering free flan cake to every table; the El Cortez has two-for-one drinks.

And the Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas has free coffee, bagels and guided walking tours.
