Colleges host peace exhibit

"Gandhi-King-Ikeda: A Leg-acy of Building Peace," an exhibit that celebrates global peace, continues at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas through Saturday, with a smaller version on display at the College of Southern Nevada through Feb. 28. Admission is free.

Created and curated by Lawrence E. Carter, dean of Morehouse College's Martin Luther King International Chapel, the exhibits highlight humanistic contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Daisaku Ikeda, three leaders from different cultures whose lives followed a common path of "improving the lives of all people," according to organizers.

The UNLV exhibit is located in the Richard Tam Alumni Center's Marietta Tiberti Grand Hall , 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. It is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

CSN's exhibit is on display in the Fine Arts Gallery inside the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre complex, 3200 N. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas. It can be seen 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
