Casinos roll out Memorial Day promotions; Gold Coast has cash wheel

Memorial Day weekend is usually one of the busiest in Las Vegas, and several casinos are increasing their desirability by offering bonus points (see below) and other promotions.

On Monday, Eastside Cannery players earning 199 base points ($199 coin-in on slots, $398 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) receive an "eagle collectible" or $10 free play. Limit one offer per player.

From noon-6 p.m. on Monday, the El Cortez is passing out free White Castle burgers to slot and table game players.

The Cannery is conducting a blood drive on Monday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Tuesday (11 a.m.-7 p.m.). All donors receive 1,000 Can Club points, a free T-shirt and two free buffet tickets. Walk-ins are welcome.

Can't wait till Monday? Then head over to The Orleans today or Saturday where all players earning 50 Club Coast points ($50 coin-in; no point redemption required) receive a free six-pack of Pepsi or Diet Pepsi. After earning the 50 points, players should visit a kiosk first to pick up their voucher, then pick up their soda at the booth.

Beginning Saturday, both slot and table game players can begin earning entries into the Gold Coast's "June Summer Cash Spin Cash Giveaway." At 6:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. every Saturday in June, the casino will draw five winners who will get to spin the cash wheel and win up to $5,000.

Throughout the month of June, South Point players receive a 50-percent discount when using their players club points at all restaurants, the hotel, gift shop, liquor store, bingo, all bars, spa and salon, showroom, movies and bowling.

Also in June, all Golden Gate players receive a free scratch card (and a chance to win $1,000 in free play) for every 100 same-day points ($100 coin-in; no point redemption required). And all non-winning tickets can be deposited into a drum for the daily $1,000 free play drawing at 6 p.m.
