Bobby Slayton is cool with his daughter’s provocative video shoots
Frequent Las Vegas comedian Bobby Slayton tells me he’s happy his daughter is a rising star, even if she does dress provocatively in sexy music video clothes.
His little girl, Natasha Slayton, sings and dances in the post-Pussycat Dolls group G.R.L., which sings “Ugly Heart” and was featured in Pitbull’s “Wild Wild Love.”
“G.R.L. dresses like hookers, but they also fight crime,” papa Slayton jokes. “They’re like the Fantastic Four. So they’re really doing a lot of good stuff for society.”
Slayton performs stand-up comedy Friday and Saturday at the South Point with opener Jackie Martling and host Stuttering John.
Slayton’s nickname is “The Pitbull of Comedy.” So it’s a coincidence that his daughter performed “Wild Wild Love” with the rapper Pitbull on “The Tonight Show.”
“Not only was my daughter Natasha on ‘The Tonight Show’ before me, she’s cheating on me with another Pitbull!” Slayton said.
Chris Rock recently told Rolling Stone magazine that his original goal in comedy was to be like George Wallace, Richard Jeni and Bobby Slayton, because they’re amazing comedians respected by comics.
Slayton has an Al Pacino-like voice, and he proclaims, “I like to see the bad in everybody.”
Here’s another coincidence: The rapper Pitbull is also in Las Vegas, performing with Enrique Iglesias on Saturday at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
“Both Pitbulls are in town,” the Pitbull of Comedy says. “I wish him the best. It’s not my audience base. But it’s kind of cool he’s in town.”
