HELL RIDE

Despite the box-office flop of last year's "Grindhouse" double feature, Quentin Tarantino continues to ride the exploitation trail, executive producing this tale of a badass biker gang out to avenge a member's death. Larry Bishop (yes, he's Joey's son), a veteran of late-'60s biker flicks, writes, directs and co-stars, along with Michael Madsen, Dennis Hopper, Vinnie Jones and David Carradine. At Village Square. (85 minutes.) R; strong violence, sexual content, graphic nudity and dialogue, profanity, drug use.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

In the latest romp from producer Judd Apatow's comedy factory, a hapless pothead ("Knocked Up's" Seth Rogen, who also co-wrote the script) witnesses a murder -- and runs for his life, his even more hapless marijuana dealer (James Franco) in tow. Gary Cole, Rosie Perez and Danny R. McBride ("The Foot Fist Way") co-star for director David Gordon Green ("Snow Angels," "All the Real Girls"). At multiple locations. (111 minutes.) R; pervasive profanity, drug use, sexual references, violence.

THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2

Three years after their initial adventures, the members of the title sisterhood (America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn) follow personal paths, leading them everywhere from a Vermont theater festival to an archaeological dig in Turkey, before reuniting on the picturesque Greek isle of Santorini. Video veteran Sanaa Hamri ("Something New") directs this sequel to the 2002 hit based on Ann Brashares' novels. At multiple locations. (117 minutes.) PG-13; mature material, sexual references.
