All-female ‘Ghostbusters’ slated for July 2016

LOS ANGELES — Following the news of all-female cast coming together, Sony has now slated its new “Ghostbusters” pic to bow on July 22, 2016.

Earlier today, it was announced that Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones would star in the new pic with Paul Feig writing and directing.

Feig tweeted the release date on Tuesday, just a few hours after tweeting a picture of the cast.

Ivan Reitman is producing the pic with no plot details known at this time.
