Rao's celebrating first anniversary

Rao's at Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will celebrate its first anniversary with a special menu to be served at 8 p.m. Jan. 26. With an entree combination of Uncle Vincent's Famous Lemon Chicken, Shrimp in Umido and Veal Scaloppini al Marsala, the four-course dinner is $150 per person, plus tax and tip, and includes an autographed copy of a Rao's family cookbook. Saturday is the last day of operation for Mayflower Cuisinier, 4750 W. Sahara Ave. Theresa Woo said the family is gearing up for its next venture, Woo, scheduled to open at the Palazzo in March. ...

Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro has opened at the Palazzo, the sister property to The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The classic steakhouse has an iced seafood bar, a cheese and charcuterie bar, wet- and dry-aged beef, Japanese A-5 Wagyu beef and more than 400 wines, with more than 70 by the glass. Lunch and dinner are served, and brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For reservations, call 607-6333.
