Ashlee Simpson to perform at LAX

Jessica Simpson usually holds court when it comes to fame and attention inside her musical family.

But Saturday, Ashlee Simpson will attempt to steal a little bit of her big sister's spotlight when she delivers a special live performance at LAX inside the Luxor.

Simpson is scheduled to perform her new song, "Outta My Head." Chances are also good that boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy will be in attendance as well. The two usually are attached at the hip when spotted in Las Vegas.

No word on whether Jessica Simpson or father/manager Joe Simpson will make the trip to Las Vegas.

Sinclar to spin at Privé -- Legendary house music DJ Bob Sinclar will play a special set Sunday at Privé inside the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Sinclar is best known for hits "World Hold On" and "Love Generation." Get there early because Sinclar has a massive following. In previous visits, Sinclar packed Tao at The Venetian and LAX inside the Luxor.

Drai's After Hours heats up -- If you're looking for a hot place to continue partying after a visit to one of the local clubs, drop by Drai's After Hours.

Located at Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon (former Barbary Coast), Drai's was known as a place to party into the wee hours of the morning as house music blared throughout the venue.

But a second room featuring rap and hip-hop music has diversified the establishment and packed it Fridays and Saturdays, making it a nice draw for those looking for something different than Teatro, Seamless or Empire Ballroom.

Blush to host AVP party -- Blush Boutique Nightclub will host the official AVP after party Saturday inside Wynn Las Vegas.

The event, which will feature some of the world's best volleyball players, will kick off at 9 p.m. The AVP Las Vegas event champions will host the evening's festivities.

Oakenfold coming to Moon -- Popular house music DJ Paul Oakenfold will hit the turntables Tuesday at Moon inside the Palms.

Oakenfold is on an album tour for his new release, which features his greatest hits and remixes.

Sightings of the weekend -- Grammy winner Common performed Saturday at Studio 54 (MGM Grand). Also at Studio 54: boxer Winky Wright, who hosted the evening's festivities. Later in the evening, Common and his entourage stopped by Tabu Ultra Lounge (MGM Grand).

At Poetry (Forum Shops at Caesars) on Saturday: singer CeCe Peniston, hip-hop legend DJ Kool Herc, rapper Dolla, who gave an impromptu performance, music star Baby Bash, who performed his hit "Cyclone," wrestler Rey Mysterio Jr. and members of the New England Patriots.

At LAX (Luxor) on Saturday: actor Vince Vaughn, actress/model Stacy Kiebler, New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi, rapper Ja Rule, Giuliana Rancic of E! News and husband/former "Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic, Carrot Top, Criss Angel, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Tyron Brackenridge, WWE star Torrie Wilson, Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry and actor Mike Pena.

At Privé (Planet Hollywood Resort) on Saturday: actress/model Estella Warren, who shared hosting duties for the evening with Pauly Shore, boxer Zab Judah, actor David Spade, music star Nas, actor Mario Lopez and girlfriend Karina Smirnoff of "Dancing with the Stars," NFL player Boomer Grigsby of the Kansas City Chiefs, and dethroned Miss Nevada USA Katie Rees.

Rapper Nelly and Indiana Pacers player Al Harrington, checked out 40/40 Club (Palazzo) on Saturday.

Boxer Kelly Pavlik celebrated his latest victory Saturday at Jet (Mirage) with a group of UFC fighters.

Actress Rosario Dawson was spotted at Tao on Saturday with family and friends.

At Blush Boutique Nightclub on Saturday: Mike Tyson, Chicago White Sox slugger Jermaine Dye, Utah Jazz star Andrei Kirilenko and MTV VJ Fab 5 Freddy, who was celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Yo! MTV Raps."

Musician Benji Madden of Good Charlotte delivered a special DJ set Saturday at Moon. Also at Moon: NBA star Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Drew Gooden and music mogul Suge Knight stopped by Drai's After Hours. Also at Drai's: NFL player Boomer Grigsby of the Kansas City Chiefs.

At The Bank (Bellagio) on Feb. 15: Giambi, Ja Rule, Nelly, "America's Next Top Model" winner Jaslene Gonzalez and boxer Tarick Salmaci.
