Lake Mead sponsors Junior Ranger Day

The inaugural National Junior Ranger Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Mead Alan Bible Visitor Center.

The family event will feature guided hikes, a reading corner, short programs about desert plants and animals and a recycling program.

The day also will include an informational fair discussing a variety of park projects and careers.
