Jazz in the Park series concludes Saturday

Guitarist Nick Colionne will close out the 20th season of the Jazz in the Park concert series at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.

Colionne's music is steeped in rock, jazz, blues and heavy metal.

Seating for those with picnic baskets, blankets and low-back chairs will begin at 7 p.m.

Food also will be available from vendors.

Admission is free.

Brass Roots Quintet to play free concert

The Brass Roots Quintet will perform a free concert at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St.

The group -- made up of trombonist Walter Boenig, trumpeters Tony Scodwell and Cary Cordell, French horn player Doug Beasley and tuba player Dan Uhrich -- plays a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary.
