Area pools offer themed nights

Family swim nights featuring special themes and prizes are scheduled for three swimming pools from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Parkdale Water Park, 3200 Ferndale St., will be turned into a sports haven. Walnut Water Park, 3075 Walnut Road, will take on a pirate theme. And Paradise Water Park, 4775 McLeod Drive, will become a tropical paradise.

Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for ages 3 to 17, $1 for seniors over 50, and children younger than 2 are admitted free. Each family will receive one free child admission for each paid adult. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Families are encouraged to come in costume.
