SHARE YOUR PHOTOS OF WINTER
Who says there's no weather in Las Vegas? Well, we sure showed those naysayers. We do, too, have seasons.
Sure, everyone knows about summer. But spring and fall can be pretty fleeting and take a discerning eye to appreciate. So who are we to complain when winter shows up a little early and in a way normally experienced by nearly everyone but us?
Snow, baby!
Which means it's the perfect time to begin a project with readers to capture the seasons of Southern Nevada in photographs. Begin by sending us your photos of winter in Las Vegas and its immediate environs. They can be beautiful, funny, dramatic, whatever gets your shutter finger twitching.
If you're e-mailing your photos, they should be 200 dpi and 5 inches wide or larger. We'll also accept good quality prints, but alas, we won't return them. Include a caption explaining what we're seeing, where it is and when the photo was taken.
The shot that catches our fancy most will win $100.
E-mail your photos to spadgett@reviewjournal.com with "Winter Photos" in the subject line. Or mail them to Winter Photos, Features Department, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125. Include your name, age, address and a daytime phone number in case we need more information.
We'll show the photos we think best represent winter in Southern Nevada in an upcoming Living section and online.
