Something special just for the ladies
Is the thought of Super Bowl weekend making you ill? All that hype, not to mention the chili, beer and hours of football and surrounding festivities ...
Well, at least one day of the weekend can be yours. The eighth annual Las Vegas Women's Fair sets up shop Saturday in the Exhibit Hall at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the free fair promises "all the things that women love."
More than 100 booths will feature jewelry, shoes, clothing, cosmetics, spa products, weight loss alternatives and interior design accessories.
Australia's "Thunder From Down Under," the Excalibur's resident male strip group, will entertain at noon and 2 p.m. on the Main Stage. Celebrity appearances also will be made by Wildcat from the Harlem Globetrotters from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Jason Cook (Dr. Matt Hunter) and Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) from ABC's "General Hospital" from noon to 3 p.m.
There will be hair and makeup makeovers courtesy of Euphoria Salons and fashion shows by Star Costumes featuring "trashy" lingerie.
