Kick up your heels as Henderson goes Irish
Get your Irish on at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival today through Sunday at the Henderson Convention Center Events Plaza, 200 Water St.
Highlights include a carnival, live entertainment and the 43rd annual Southern Nevada Sons of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday in Henderson's downtown Water Street District.
Festivities begin today with a carnival in the Events Plaza from 5 to 10 p.m. The carnival continues from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Following Saturday's parade, the Events Plaza will host live entertainment, an Irish pub and an Irish mall for shopping.
Free Irish dance lessons for all ages will be offered to the public Saturday and Sunday at the lawn stage in front of the Henderson Convention Center.
Admission is free, but carnival rides require tickets priced at $1 each, 24 for $18 or 40 for $30. An all-day ride armband is $23.
