Black and White Party raises funds for local AIDS charity
Aid for AIDS of Nevada will host its 23rd annual Black and White Party at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Beach Club Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road.
Entertainment will include music by DJ Axis, a battle between guest DJs, flame throwers, bikini-clad dancers and a variety of water acts.
Tickets to the fundraiser are $35 per person, which includes complimentary drinks and cuisine tasting provided by Las Vegas restaurants.
Tickets are available online at www.afanlv.org.
Proceeds benefit AFAN and its fight against HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.
What began around a backyard pool with canned food donations and good intentions 23 years ago has turned into one of the city's signature fundraising events. AFAN and the Hard Rock Hotel have teamed up to transform the resort's pool into a black and white paradise, filled with an avant-garde crowd.
Aid for AIDS of Nevada was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state.
