The art of letter writing seems to have faded these days with e-mail, but at www.lettersofnote.com, they feature scans of letters written in the past (though admittedly, they do have some e-mails on there). Updated daily on weekdays, the site features wartime letters, a letter one-time Beatle Stu Sutcliffe wrote to his mother and an expletive-laced letter a furious Hunter S. Thompson wrote to a movie executive.

Now you can thumb through Internet news like it's a newspaper with fastflip.googlelabs.com. Spotlighting various stories based on subject, timeliness or popularity, you can look at a page, hit a button and flip over to the next page. While most pages don't include the entire story, a click on the page will take you to the full story.

If you have a picture of your dad circa 1982 in cutoffs and a T-shirt, there's now a place to share it with the world. The site dadsinshortshorts.blog spot.com features reader-submitted photos of, well, dads in short shorts. Cringe at the dads in their mustaches, tube socks, tank tops and stylish shorts.
