Eastside Cannery unveils several promotions; Palms giving away car

The Eastside Cannery appears to be going promotion mad this month, offering something special almost every day of the month. Players earning 199 same-day points ($199 coin-in slots, $398 coin-in video poker; no point redemption required) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays receive a logo T-shirt and cap combo or $5 free play or a free buffet. Those earning 249 same-day points receive a logo long-sleeve dri-fit shirt or $10 free play or a free buffet. On Thursdays and Fridays, the casino is giving away $10 in cash or free play (along with one $1,000 cash prize) to the first 1,000 members who earn 99 same-day points and then swipe their card at a kiosk. On Saturday, players earning 300 same-day points receive a mini document wallet containing from $10 free play to $500 cash, and Sunday players earning 1,500 same-day points receive a three-course dinner at Carve (open 4:40 p.m.-10 p.m.; limit two vouchers per person per day).

On March 12, 19 and 26, the Palms will draw for a Honda Hybrid Insight LX (or $16,408) and nine $500 cash prizes. Players can start earning electronic entries for the March 12 drawing beginning today on all slot and video poker machines. Entries can be activated (by swiping your card at one of the kiosks in the food court) by 6:50 p.m. on the day of the drawing. Players must be present at the drawings to win.

M Resort is one year old today! In celebration of the event, free cake and champagne will be served on the casino floor from 4-8 p.m.

Main Street Station is giving away free jackets to local players – only! Clark County residents earning 2,500 same-day points ($2,500 coin-in; no point redemption required) receive a logo jacket; limit two jackets per day.

Twice every Friday and Saturday through April 3, Sam's Town will draw five winners to win cash. How much cash? According to the casino's literature, the 100 winners (throughout the promotion) will split up to $220,000. Players earn entries based on their slot play from Feb. 28, with 2x entries earned on Tuesday and Wednesday.
