Nevada Opera Theatre to perform ‘La Boheme’
Nevada Opera Theatre will present Puccini's "La Boheme" at 2 p.m. Sunday in Artemus Ham Hall at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
Tickets are $10, $20 and $30 and are on sale by calling 731-3370.
The staged production, featuring an international cast and the Nevada Opera Theatre Orchestra and Chorus, will be performed in Italian. A lecture with maestro Frank Fetta will be in the lobby at 1:20 p.m.
Two-time Grammy nominee Demetra George performs the role of Mimi. She played Violetta in "La Traviata" for the local opera company in 2009, and has performed with orchestras around the world. Gabriel Reoyo-Pazos, who has performed with the Los Angeles Opera among other companies, is cast as Rodolfo.
The production also includes baritone Kelly Anderson, Suzanne Vinnik, Morton Hyson and Michael Elliott.
