Don’t Miss It

THE YARDBIRDS

Stardom has spent 45 years eluding original members Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty -- although it found no less than three Yardbirds guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Led Zeppelin founder Jimmy Page. Their loss is your gain, since the Club at the Cannery, 2121 E. Craig Road, is much more intimate than an arena. Showtime is 8 p.m. today. Tickets are $21.95; call 617-5585. (And, please, don't tell these poor guys that the very same stage, two weeks later, will host the tribute band Led Zepagain.)

VIENNA BOYS CHOIR

Vienna waits for you to hear 100 pre-adolescents sing the compositions of Heinz Kratochwil, H.K. Gruber, Ernst Krenek and Balduin Sulzer at 8 p.m. Thursday at Artemus Ham Hall, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. Tickets are $35-$80; call 895-2787.
