Academy of Country Music Awards, Mariah Carey return to town

The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards comes to the MGM Grand Garden arena on April 18. Tickets go on sale today to fans who have joined the ACM A-List for free at www.acmcountry.com to receive the ticket purchase code. After Feb. 19, tickets are available to the public without a special code.

Pop diva du jour Mariah Carey ends her "Angels Advocate" tour at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Feb. 27. Tickets are $75, $95, $145, $175 and $250 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Colosseum box office, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and Ticketmaster outlets.

Singer-songwriter and ace guitarist John Mayer plays the Mandalay Bay Events Center on March 27, with Michael Franti & Spearhead. Tickets are $60 and $90 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster outlets.

Rousing Brit rockers Muse headline the Mandalay Bay Events Center on April 10, with Silversun Pickups. Tickets start at $35 and go on sale at noon Saturday at Ticketmaster outlets.

The "Experience Hendrix Tribute Tour" hits The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on March 6. Tickets start at $45 and go on sale at noon Saturday at the Hard Rock box office, 4455 Paradise Road, and Ticketmaster outlets.

French synth pop favorites Phoenix light up The Joint on Jan. 28, with The Soft Pack. Tickets start at $25 and are already on sale at the venue box office and Ticketmaster outlets.

Mexican Norteno singer El Chapo de Sinaloa performs at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on March 5. Tickets are $51 in advance, $56 day of show, and go on sale at 10 a.m. today at the House of Blues box office, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and Ticketmaster outlets.

Rap rockers Twiztid slam into the House of Blues on March 11. Tickets are $23.50 in advance, $28.50 day of show, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the venue box office and Ticketmaster outlets.

"Gentlemen of the Night," featuring jazz greats Marion Meadows, Paul Taylor and Michael Lington, will perform at Access Showroom at Aliante Station on March 19.
