Jackpot gift cards return to El Cortez; Golden Gate awarding $1,000 a day
The popular jackpot gift card promotion has returned to the El Cortez, at least through the end of May. Players hitting a $200-plus jackpot on slots or a $300-plus jackpot on video poker will receive their choice of a $10 gift card from either Wal-mart, Smith's, Shell, Chevron or Walgreens -- as well as an entry into the weekly Saturday night 40-inch LCD TV/$2,000 prize drawing. Players hitting a $1,200-plus jackpot also receive a complimentary two-night stay.
The Golden Gate is giving away $1,000 every day in May, including a top prize of $100 in free play. There are five drawings per day and five winners at each drawing. Players receive one entry for every 100 same-day points. Check at the 1906 Club booth for drawing times and other details.
Thursdays through Saturdays, Jerry's Nugget slot players earning 1,000 same-day points ($1,000 coin-in, 4 a.m.-3:59 a.m.) or table players earning 140 points in rated play can come back the next day (8 a.m.-midnight) to play the MoreClub More Game at any kiosk. Cash prizes range from $10-$100.
Gold Coast players earning 10 base points on Trophy Trout Tuesdays in May can swipe their cards at any kiosk to catch a fish and receive up to $1,000. All winners are paid in points.
Earn 300 same-day points at South Point ($300 coin-in; no point redemption required) between midnight and 1 p.m. and you will receive a free lunch buffet. Players earning 300 more same-day points (or 600 points total) before 8 p.m. will receive a free dinner buffet.
Every day through Sept. 5, Fitzgeralds players have a chance to win a vacation package to the winner's choice of Mexico, the Caribbean or Las Vegas. Guests can earn drawing tickets by playing slots and table games as well as a variety of other means.
